Cats and dogs looking for good homes

The Erie County Humane Society features these felines available for adoption:

Butterscotch -- A 1-year-old girl who wants to be a lap cat. She doesn't like other cats. She wants your undivided attention.

Thelma -- Has lived in the shelter since September. She likes children and is laid back.

Bingo -- She was found at the Humane Society's weekly bingo fundraiser at the Eagles Club. She is playful and energetic.

Whiskers -- A 1-year-old black and white boy who likes children and other cats.

Mr. Green -- A 2-year-old gentleman with bright green eyes.

Socks -- A 9-month-old girl who is very affectionate. She is great with children and likes dogs.

The Humane Society is located at 1911 Superior St., Sandusky. Adoption hours are 1-6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday. Normal adoption fees are: Cats/kittens $60, but fees are waived for cats 3 years old or older. Dogs/puppies adoption fees vary. The fees include spaying/neutering and first shots if the kitten is at least 3 months old. The phone number is 419-626-6220.

 

The Erie County Dog Pound features the following dogs available for adoption:

Lucy -- Female beagle mix, 1 year old. Housebroken, very loving. Available now.

Dolly -- Female beagle and hound, 3 years old. Housebroken, gentle and quiet. Available now.

Teddy -- Male schnauzer mix, 3 years. Gentle and quiet. Available now.

Tyson -- Male boxer mix, 1 year old. Housebroken, high-energy boy needs firm owner with fenced yard. Available now.

Tiger -- Male Chihuahua mix, 3 years old. A little shy, but warms up fast. Available at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The Erie County Dog Pound, 2900 Columbus Ave., Perkins Township, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Call 419-627-7607. Adopting a dog costs $30.
