A Perkins Township couple was arrested Tuesday for allegedly getting into a physical fight while the man was holding onto their three-week-old child.
Kierra Williams, 23, and De Quan Norris, 21, both of the 2400 block of Campbell St., were both charged with domestic violence, child endangering and assault.
Williams picked up Norris from work at about 7 p.m. and the pair began to argue, according to a Perkins police report.
When they made it back to their Campbell Street home, Williams allegedly said she was going to leave with their baby for awhile to “think things out,” the report said.
But when Williams reached for the infant, born on June 17, Norris instead grabbed him from the car and walked inside.
The pair continued arguing, with Norris allegedly slapping, choking and pushing Williams after she slapped him across the face, the report said.
The entire physical confrontation occurred while Norris was still holding the baby, the report said.
Both were arrested, but Sandusky Municipal Court Judge Erich O'Brien allowed both to be released, given the child's age. Norris spent the night at a friend's and was to have no contact with Williams until their court date.
