A man, 27, died this morning when a second driver failed to yield at a stop sign, causing a deadly collision in Huron County.

Bellevue resident Scott A. Shuker, 27, died shortly after 9 a.m. at the scene, on Fitchville River and Prospect roads, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

New London resident Tyler Keathley, 21, headed eastbound on Prospect Road when he apparently failed to stop at a stop sign at Fitchville River Road. Keathley then slammed into Shuker's vehicle, a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am.

Shuker's vehicle actually ended up atop Keathley's car, a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix.

There is no indication of alcohol or drug involvement, and weather conditions were not a factor. With charges pending, the crash remains under investigation.

Any other details about Scott Shuker? I knew somebody from St. Paul High when I was in school. Just curious if it was him.

It is him. Very sad.

Saved the taxpayers a lot of money, this guy was in the court system more than he was out the last few years...
