Motorcyclist Juan Antonio Colon, 76, Milan, suffered seven broken ribs and a fractured collarbone after an accident at 4:05 p.m. Friday on U.S. 250 near Mason Road.

Colon was taken to North Central EMS and then airlifted by medical hospital to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio Highway Patrol Trooper Kent Jeffries said Monday.

A spokeswoman for the hospital said she had no information on Colon. Jeffries said he was told Colon has had an operation and has been transferred from ICU to a step-down unit.

The accident occurred when Raymond L. Gilpin, 50, Clarion, Pa., turned his truck into Colon's path. The motorcyclist struck the truck and was ejected. Gilpin was cited for failure to yield while turning left.
