Nick Lenyo is pictured with his family, from left, mother Andrea, sister Allie, father Dave and the family's two dogs Abby and Bailey.

Lenyo, an eighth grader at McCormick School in Huron, will be throwing out the first pitch in Monday's Cleveland Indians game against the Twins.

Lenyo is in remission from Osteosarcoma cancer after completing his last chemotherapy appointment in October of 2013.

His lower left leg and foot had to be removed because of the cancer.

So proud of Nick's strength and commitment to continue to achieve his dreams. Proud of his family and friends for encouraging him through his tough battles. Nick, can't wait to see this. Keep on keepin' on, Nick! You are amazing in so many ways! May God continue to bless you as you continue to realize how much you CAN do. There is no CAN'T in your vocabulary and that is a true testament to the young man you are and will be.
