For the boys basketball team, Caleb Gerber was named Best Offensive Player, while Kegan Rakosky was named Best Defensive Player. Hunter Stinchcomb was named Most Improved Player, while Ryan Chapman earned the Coaches Award, Gerber received the booster academic achievement award, Dominic Manuella was named Most Valuable Player and Stinchcomb earned the Sportsmanship Award.
For the girls basketball team, Erin Lavelle was named Most Valuable Player, while Megan Stephens was named Defensive Player of the Year. Katie Almendinger was named Most Improved, while Cassidy Rhodes and Tori Wright shared the Coaches Award, Stephanie Kukay received the booster academic achievement award and Alyssa Almendinger earned the Sportsmanship Award.
For the wrestling team, Jonathon McClellan was named Takedown Champion and earned the Laker Award, while Connor McClellan received the booster academic achievement award and Avery Nowak was named Most Improved.
Erin Lavelle led Danbury High School’s all Toledo Area Athletic Conference nods, as the senior was named to the first team. Teammate Megan Stephens was named to the second team, while Tori Wright and Alyssa Almendinger received honorable mention. For the boys, Caleb Gerber and Dominic Manuella earned honorable mention.
Lavelle, Almendinger, Stephens, Wright and Stephanie Kukay all earned all-district honorable mention, while Gerber earned the same honor for the boys team.
