About 15 teens or young men brutally beat a 17-year-old boy Friday at Huron River Fest, according to police and the victim's mother.
Even after beating Nathaniel Enderly unconscious, the assailants didn't stop until a woman called police.
Immediately after the attack — at about 10:30 p.m. — a retired U.S. Marine found Enderly lying face-down on the pavement in the 200 block of Williams St., a police report said.
Enderly had stopped breathing, so the Marine performed a "chest manipulation" on his lungs to start him breathing again, said Melissa Baker, Enderly's mother.
Huron police and firefighters arrived at the scene and stabilized Enderly before taking him to Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Doctors used five stitches to seal a wound on Enderly's chin, and six stitches for a cut on his nose. He was also treated for a concussion, Baker said.
"He's getting better, but he's still kind of out of it," Baker said. "Doctors told us it's pretty normal for someone who's recovering from a concussion."
The fight was likely the boiling point in a long-running feud between two groups of teenage boys — one group from Sandusky, the other from Huron, Baker said.

It does. I feel much safer in Perkins than I ever did when I lived in Sandumpy.

I know i shouldn,t let one ignorant apple ruin it for the rest of the perkins residents but maybe sandusky should cut off there water since its prolly scum n e ways. buckeye cable shouldnt allow them to have internet connection and a matter of fact we should even charge them to come look at the water or our parks for that matter. i have no business to cross perkins ave lets start a boycott of perkins as sandusky residents and let them have to raise taxes. we wont have to worry because our taxes wont go up were a sh*t hole..
Sounds good as long as you stay north of Perkins Ave and don't visit the mall, movie theater, restaurants, etc. Sounds like a fair trade to me! One less piece of Sandumpy trash milling around our Township!
Is there really that much rage between Perkins Township and Sandusky? Give it a rest! There are bad people in all cities and townships. I live i Perkins and I go to Sandusky all the time. There are probably neighborhoods I wouldn't walk alone at night in, but come on. We tell our kids not to fight and that violence is bad, but adults get on here and fight fight fight... it's childish and rediculous!

15 on one.. Doesnt surprise me one bit but they weird thing is where was his friends? i Know for a fact if i had 3 of my dudes with me we would put those 15 little kids back where they came from. Point is people need to live life and stop with the petty things like fighting because karma will haunt you untill the day you die, hope the kid is doing alright its a shame sandusky kids have to be like this after what happened with officer dunn(r.i.p) GROW UP KIDS! Really??? It's NOT just Sandusky kids that were there. There were also kids from Huron that jumped him so don't just target one city. It is not Sandusky that is a bad place, it is the people. You cannot judge the whole city of Sandusky because a few people want to be stupid teenagers. If the parents would raise there children right then maybe we wouldn't have this problem. Maybe if TV shows and movies didn't put violence and sex out there so much, half of the problems wouldn't be upon us. These parents need to step up and do there jobs as parents. Don't be your kids friend.. be there parent!
Why does everybody say that Perkins is not part of Sandusky? Don't they all have the same zip code? How also do they know that the group of teen-age boys from Sandusky "that have had a long-running feud with the group of boys from Huron" aren't from Perkins? After all, Perkins and Huron have been long-time rivals for years in football and basketball. Of course, I really can't see a vicious fight breaking out like this over a friendly rivalry in sports but anymore who knows!
