Do you have a permit for that nest building?

Old Dutch Tavern no stranger to feathered friends.

Two bald eagles have recently been seen building a nest near the Old Dutch Tavern in Perkins Township.

It is unknown if the two eagles are the same pair that made a nest there in the past. The pair that originally built a nest near the famous Ohio State-themed watering hold had their nest collapse several years ago. Residents and businesses of the surrounding community worked together to build another nest, but the eagles opted for another area.

The Old Dutch Tavern's parking lot is adjacent to the nest and bird watchers have been known to grab a burger and/or a beverage while watching the eagles.
