Misty Wiseman, 35, was at her boyfriend’s home in the 4200 block of Sherman-Norwich Road when the 12-gauge shotgun went off at about 10 p.m. Thursday, wounding her upper left leg, Huron County Chief Deputy Ted Patrick said.

Her boyfriend, Jeffrey Branham, 28, told deputies the shot was self-inflicted. Detectives’ attempts to interview Wiseman about the incident have been unsuccessful since she was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for treatment after she was shot, Patrick said.
