Shantel Alafita, 28, was charged with child endangering. Deputies arrested her after a relative found her outside her Maple Lane home at about 6 p.m. Saturday.

She was in and out of consciousness and intoxicated while lying on the side of road, according to a deputy’s report.

She told deputies she drank two 20-ounce glasses of vodka, and she refused to submit to a breathalyzer test at the scene, the report said. Alafita and her 4-month-old son were taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment. Doctors told deputies the child was fine.

Alafita’s blood-alcohol content was 0.266 percent, the report said. Deputies also notified social workers of the incident.

there is no allegedly about it.

Absolutely kills me that women like this are to drunk to take care of a child that she had (probably conceived while she was drunk), but still finds time to do the things she wants to do. This child needs to be taken away and given to a loving mother and father.

Sleeping by the curb at 6 PM? That's really a tired girl.

I saw Robin Williams on The Daily Show explain what a blackout really is. Funny, but not. But he explained it as, "sleepwalking with activities" and that he doesn't do it any more.

Sounds like Shantel should probably quit as well?

No mugshot??????????????????

Stop It

I can describe her. She's a petite lil white girl with blonde hair and blue eyes about 4'9" and probably wears a size 0 or a size 2. That is the reason she was so drunk. She's a female and tiny and that one beer (the cops lied about the liquor) did her in. She just forgot where she was and fell asleep on the street. We gotta cut her some slack. Her parents gave her that name.
