At about 1:30 a.m., Sandusky police noticed Machin and a woman in the backseat of a car parked behind the Cleveland Road Knights Inn.
Machin told police he was eating and smoking, but he had smoked all of his marijuana before officers arrived, the report said.
Officers searched the car, however, and found one marijuana joint submerged in a packet of barbecue sauce, the report said.
Machin’s passenger got upset when officers asked for her Social Security number during the incident.
The woman said she’d been brought to America illegally when she was a child.
