A Ransom Road resident reported his wife missing around noon, after he ran a quick errand and returned home to find her gone, Perkins police Lt. Chris Hilton said.
Erie County deputies joined in on the search as well. The 72-year-old woman was found about 25 minutes later, sitting in a car parked in the garage of a home in the 800 block of West Bogart Road, Hilton said.
Officers drove her home and gave her husband a list of options that could assist in her care, Hilton said.
The woman’s husband said it was the first time anything of this sort had happened. The woman was apparently suffering from a mental health issue, Hilton said.
