The operation is 11 p.m. to 1 a.m, followed by an hour of saturation patrols.

“If you plan on consuming alcoholic beverages that night, please make plans to have a designated driver or taxi,” Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Kent Davis stated in a news release.

The location of the checkpoint will be announced later this week.

people you don't have to participate in these dui checkpoints. Lawyer up and move on your way! youtube it.

getit right be4...

Why would one need to lawyer up?

Just don't go out between 11 pm and 1 am Saturday night and you'll be good to go Sunday. Usually, in Ottawa County it's on Route 53 going towards Fremont but it could be elsewhere this time. They also get alot on Lakeshore Drive right in front of my house.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was on Lakeshore this time.

LOL Huronguy......let us know when you plan to refuse to comply with the request to stop and present your license and insurance ID cards along with answering simple questions as to if you have consumed any alcohol. We want to be there to watch and see how that all works out for you....Not that I like it myself but giving them a hard time about it probably won't help your cause any.

Most of the youtube stuff I've seen on roadblocks have to do with immigration.
