OMG! She was stopped at the light and the car that hit her was approaching Bellevue at a high rate of speed.

There were scanner reports about this car. ( Marquis)

doggie mom

I was behind this car and the rate of speed was ridiculous. I called 911 West of Monroeville. I am so sorry they could not keep anyone from getting killed. To the family of Ms. Albright my deepest sympathies.

I think they had had to be traveling at a high rate of speed to do all that , and the sad part about it is that that area is 25 miles per hour

Gene if I remember the area correctly too there's a school close by also. It's so sad that this young woman lost her life because someone was being stupid and who knows what's going to happen to the 4 people that were in that car. I'm just thankful that the kids at ICS - if the accident happened where I think it did - weren't out there.

No school in session at 11 pm.

Sorry - I thought it said 11 am.

nosey rosey

Other reports state that the police were after the vehicle due to reckless driving.

My big question is, why weren't there spike strips put down between Monroeville and Bellevue?

Why wasn't traffic averted?

There were two law enforcement agencies involved here... so why didn't someone THINK???

Simple Enough II

I suggest you stop and think about your post. Do you expect LEO to magically to be there? And from reading WTOL's story there was one, but he couldn't get close enough and quick enough to avert the crash. But seriously put spike strips down and what have everyone run over them until they are ineffective and or cause other unwarranted damage?

I am guessing spikes weren't put down because there wasn't time. If someone called from west of Monroeville and the car was traveling so fast, chances are they'd have been in Bellevue in less than 5 minutes.

What about 90 to 110 MPH? And a lady lost her life because of these clowns.

Just sad.

... and the map that shows the Jr. High on North Street is wrong, that school has been torn down.

Bubba's Buddy

Another article stated the car was clocked at 78 mph within the city limits.

Concerned For A...

This is so terrible. My heart goes out to Tracy's family. Now her children have to grow up without their mom because of these careless scumbags! My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. To the looser that caused this horrific event, I PRAY AND HOPE you survive to pay for what you have done. You have shattered the lives of so many people. May you rest in peace Tracy.

I called from Monroeville at 11:05 I reached Bellevue at 11:20 the crash happened at 11:11. That tells you how fast they were going. And I am getting beyond PI$$ed about the idea being that they were being chased by police! They were going at that speed well before reaching Bellevue!

Just Because

It wasn't a pursuit....they blew by the cops and they barely got turned around when the crash occurred! Stop blaming the police...blame the IDIOT behind the wheel and his 3 buddies for not stopping him!

doggie mom

Thank you!

Just Because

Prayers to Tracy's family!!! My heart goes out to them all!

Why do I have a feeling these lowlifes were running drugs?

That was my thought...some kind of criminal activity. Seems like they were a bit far from home for a run to the store for a gallon of milk.

What a terrible, senseless tragedy. My sympathies to the families involved.

I did check some public court records about Morgan E. Jevec.

I have a hunch that he had no driver insurance, minimal at best.

Driving at high speeds in a 25 mph area should warrant a murder charge in corrupt Ohio.

My condolences to the family of Tracy Albright. My tears are flowing. I admit that I get emotional at times.

Darwin's choice

Public hangings should be brought back.....!

RIP Tracy Albright.

Look him up. Convicted earlier this year of going 46 in a 25mph zone and there are other traffic offenses as well including 'operating without reasonable control'.

Sounds like this wasn't a case of one poor decision, but rather a history of unsafe driving.

Just Because

Looks to have been in trouble for some time. Has previous jail time suspended. Maybe it is time to make him serve it. These judges need to quit suspending jail time, make them serve it and maybe it would deter some of this crap!

There were other eyewitness posts on another site stating by the time the car got into Bellevue City Limits and blew past Taco Bell the cops ( OR OSHP ) WERE in pursuit. I bet they were sitting out at the VFW.

That would also account for the sirens , I heard go by out in that area. That was about 11: 10 PM by my stove clock.

This dude had no intent to slow down. Because if he did he would have had approximately 2 and a half miles to do it in before the collision.

So yeah, they really need to charge him with vehicular homicide.

Stop It

The small town of Bellevue sure had a lot of neck stretchers out late last night. I heard all about it on my FB. Even the puking and falling down as they watched. What draws one to see such tragedy? I dunno....

This happened in front of the city parking lot -( where they have the Farmer's Market) and The Eagles... people do loiter up around there.

As far as the "neck stretching" that happens anywhere and everywhere.

My heart breaks for her and her family.

Unfortunately, Ms. Albright was previously hit by a drunk driver in November 2011 (around 11:45PM).

I hope that all the passengers will get criminal charges along with the driver. Prayers to the Albright family.
