The event is 9 a.m. to noon, starting at the Pipe Creek Wildlife Area on River Avenue, off of Cedar Point Drive. The 97 acres, in a migratory bird path, are used by birders, fishermen, canoes and kayakers, as well as local residents and tourists simply looking for a great spot for a nature walk.
The friends group is partnering with the Sandusky Bay Rowing Association to pick up litter. The public is invited to help.
Participants should dress for the weather, including close-toed footwear. Anyone under younger than age 18 should be accompanied by a parent. Cleanup supplies will be provided.
