A 16-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Monday evening after he told police his mother stabbed him with a fork during an argument over spaghetti.

He had a welt and a small cut when police arrived at the home of a neighbor on Maple Street who called police when he arrived there with his forearm bleeding.

The boy said the fight started during dinner. His mother told police he threw his food and the plate, and she walked over to him without realizing she had a fork in her hand. She said he must have hit his arm on the fork while he was throwing things around the house.

No one was arrested.

FORK you!  LOL!  I hope they both took a chill pill and were able to work it out peacefully.

Hey mom here's a simple solution. Don't feed the little brat!

Observant

If MY kid had thrown his plate & the food I'd just made him, he would have a lot more to worry about than being stabbed with a fork, that's for sure!

I laughed when I read that mom "walked over to him" with the fork in her hand - I'm sure she was just so calm - lol!  Hope the brat enjoys the JDC quisine.

Boy, Some of you sure are ready to blame the kid here. I have no idea who these people are, but I do know there are some good kids with abusive, loud, nasty parents.

Always spaghetti.

Sorry to play the blame game but, if he threw his food and plate, than he dosen't have any respect.  I'm sure he's disrespectful to his mom all the time, and other people.  But, even if he's the nasty kid you've ever met, violence doesn't solve anything.

William Jeffers...

We're coming full circle.  10 years ago everyone would have blamed the mom.  While there are abusive parents out there, and kids need to be protected, part of protecting our children is to have some understanding that  they need discipline and sometime parents make mistakes.

i agree with observant****if one of my kids had dared to throw food or a plate let alone food on a plate that i had just cooked , it would have been more than a little scratch, he would have picked himself up off the floor instantly.

I still say... the kids has it in their head that they can not LONGER be punished and threatens the parents that they will call CPS.. It's a shame that a few BAD PARENTS had to abuse their kidsand that the city officals had to take it too far.. If my kids was to have EVER did this or anything else that they needed to be punished for.. Don't think for one minute they wouldn't get disciplined!! A couple good A$$ cracks would not hurt a kid. Hey mom, next time carry a wooden spoon!!!

IF THAT WAS MY KID NOW HE WOULD HAVE BEEN EATING THAT SPAGHETTI OFF THE FLOOR! WHAT A GENUINE BRAT!
