The Huron Bicentennial Committee and Huron Historical Society will dedicate the Bicentennial Memorial and interment of Huron's Time Capsule on at noon Sunday at the Harbor Master's office at the Huron Boat Basin.

The 12-inch by 12-inch by 18-inch stainless steel box is filled with a variety of artifacts representing "the land, the lake, the river, and the people" of Huron, according to Kathy Muehlhauser, of the Huron Historical Society.

Some of the items enclosed in the historical capsule include beach glass, taconite, lucky stones, fishing lures, library card, Huron Playhouse bill, Cedar Point pass and an article on Asian carp, Muelhauser said.

Love the fact that it's hometown local news...however the photo of Judy Ryan who is in the picture above is not noted anywhere. Just an FYI. In my day we use to call her Miss Hildebrand.  ;)
