Margaret Cumberland, 56, of Hilliard, and Rosalinda Guerra, 34, of Toledo, were both taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where they remained Tuesday afternoon.

Their conditions were not available, hospital staff said. Cumberland and Guerra were the drivers of two of the vehicles involved the crash, which happened at about 4:50 p.m. Monday at the Camp Perry entrance, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers.

Another driver, Jerald Zimmer, 78, of Fremont, died, as did the passenger in his vehicle, Rosanne Zimmer, 74, his wife.

Zimmer failed to yield when turning left from Ohio 2 into the driveway of Camp Perry, troopers said. His 2009 Honda Accord was struck when it pulled into the path of Guerra’s oncoming 1999 Dodge Caravan. Five passengers in Guerra’s vehicle were taken to Magruder Hospital, where they were treated and released.

Guerra’s Caravan also struck Cumberland’s 2012 Chevy Sonic, which was stopped at a stop sign. The Sonic then struck a stopped 1994 Lexus, driven by Anna Murphy, 59, of Kenton. Murphy and two passengers in her vehicle were not injured.
