The man accused of murdering Amanda Gibson will remain in jail on $1 million bond and is set to go to trial Jan. 18.
Michael Martin first appeared in Erie County Municipal Court on June 11 on one count of murder, before his case was bound over to Erie County Common Pleas Court.
Michael Martin, 53, has been charged in the 25-year-old woman's death.
A fisherman discovered Gibson's fully clothed body June 8 in Groton Township, along a path near a Smith Road pond. The location was near the Norfolk Southern railroad yards.

Gibson moved to Sandusky a few years ago from New Jersey. She and Martin were acquaintances who ran into each other occasionally in at least one area bar.
