A Huron boater battling the wind while docking at the Huron Boat Basin ended up colliding with a Huron fire boat, a police report said.

The man told police the wind pushed his boat near the basin, but he didn't notice his boat strike the fire boat. Huron fire officials found damage on the fire boat, which was gouged in two places with fiberglass torn away.

The man's boat "struck the fire boat pretty good, causing it to rock very hard," a Huron police report said, adding that damage to the man's boat essentially matched the damage to the fire boat.
