A Sandusky man has been charged in connection with a total of three shootings in Sandusky this summer.
Elisha C. Cannon, 23, of the 600 block of E. Monroe St., was indicted Wednesday by an Erie County grand jury for the July 19 shooting on Huntington Avenue in which Lindrako Henry was shot in the leg.
Cannon was also indicted for the June 19 shooting at Hancock and Reese streets, in which Darrius Johnson, 23, was shot in the side, Sandusky police Det. Gary Wichman said.
The indictments tie Cannon to three of at least nine confirmed summer shootings in Sandusky since June. Residents have reported hearing gunshots on other occasions in the city, though they were not confirmed shootings.
Cannon, believed to be a member of a local gang, is already in the Erie County jail for his role in the July 30 gunfight on Hancock and Neil streets. In that shooting, Kevin Randleman sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
