Huron Co. workers may return to 40-hour workweek

If Huron County keeps expenses low and revenues steady, county workers could return to 40-hour workweeks by year's end.

The county's general fund took a $500,000 hit in 2009, but things are looking up for 2011.

Huron County could have an additional $250,000 in the general fund in 2011, compared to 2010, according to preliminary budget estimates. It's operating on a budget of about $12.7 million this year, while forecasting $12.9 million for next year.
