Yes, I know where he was. At 7:30 PM, he was still at the school working. What a un-dedicated guy he is, he only put in 12 hours today. Real tough to support someone with that kind of work ethic.

dire wolf

he must have been working on the wrong project, me thinks.. He should go home and rethink his priorities to the school district.

Good 2 B Me

Did the teachers take their talents to South Beach?

WesTaylor

Not that I am aware of. Several neighboring districts, and a few out of state.

Cowboy

Bherrle......Were you with him wiping his mouth when he spilled his Kool-aid? Or were you kissing him and then wiping his collar from all your lipstick? Either way, you need to quit listening to him, he's only gonna pull you down!

Bherrle

Cowboy,

I was not with him, and I disagree with you. I will also not take advice from someone who has made comments such as the one you just made.

FearistheMindKiller

Hey Goodtime,

This isn't the super's "baby," it's the children of this township's education. Or have you and all the other's who are obsessed with the super forgetting that?

juher

really, seriously .... this is all you have better to amuse yourself with?

bobshumway92

I guess this means Gunner isn't moving here any time soon?

fifteenthgreen

Exactly, Bob. The district will be dismantled by the end of the week and all will be lost. Simply not the case.

bobshumway92

LOL!

EZOB

I'm guessing it's football as usual.

obx8160

Congrats to all you who voted no. Tell me, you didn't want to pay $200 a year to support the schools but you will smoke one or two packs of cigarettes a day, or drink a six or twelve pack a week, or stop and get coffee every day. How much are you spending on those things. If you don't believe you get a benefit from quality public schools you are incorrect.

bobshumway92

Now you are going to tell us how to spend OUR money? No wonder your levy keeps failing!

senioritis

No, no one should tell you how to spend your money. But if the shoe fits, we'll just call you Cinderella.

bobshumway92

Keep up that kind of rhetoric and your levy will fail again in November! You people are way too easy!

senioritis

And so are your comments.

bobshumway92

Sore loser

Common Sense

What kind of graceful "winner" are you?

bobshumway92

Having a Starbucks, carton of cigarettes, and a six pack. You know, your talking points!

coasterfan

I don't think he is telling you how to spend your money. He is telling you that your priorities are wrong, if you say you "don't have money" for something as obviously important as education, but DO spend an equal amount on things like cigarettes and beer.

The point is that no one should have to tell you to support education - it's something that you should realize and do on your own. It's not just about doing the right thing, by providing the same financial support for today's students that yesteryear's adults provided for you. It's that good schools encourage good teachers and good students to stay, and poor schools are a recipe for lower property values. To not support schools because you have an axe to grind w/an administrator is sadly short-sighted...

bobshumway92

See you at the poles in November!

FearistheMindKiller

Poles?

You going to Poland Bob?

A strip club?

Or did your superior education fail you, and you don't realize the process and place of voting is referred to as "polls" and not poles?

Beautiful, you represent the trolls of the SR's comment section so eloquently.

bobshumway92

Between my excitement and the auto correct on my iPhone, I misspelled a word. However, I would love to meet face to face with you and explain this in further detail. Please name the time and place.

Perkins Resident

It's people like you Fear that cause levies to fail. Rather than attacking someone for mispelling a word or criticizing them for voting no, why not try to be positive? I have voted yes on every levy Perkins had, but the current leadership does not accept the will of the people. I will be voting no in November.

starryeyes83

Ragging on an occasional typo? Seriously? We all do it from time to time. I do.

VOTENO

No kidding! She must be perfect!

queenjhb

@ coasterfan, What anyone decides to do with their money ,use it for bills, food, medicine is not a luxury, that you look down on us and try to lump us [ and you really believe it] as chain smoking, beer belching, with caffeinated coffee shakes, low life, tells a lot more about you than us. Stay out of my wallet.

FearistheMindKiller

Right on Bob, it's called creating a shared community with common interests for the betterment of all. You and your attitude are what are at the root of the status quo.

It's people like Bob and all the zealots screaming VOTE NO that can now accept part of the responsibility for the decline of Perkins schools and this township as a whole. If you can't support something so basic and fundamental as education of children, what exactly do you support?

If you want to live without paying taxes I respect that. Sure would be nice if our government didn't spend another billon dollars today to spy on us or blow up more innocent civilians in other nations. But you know what? It's important that we have our priorities straight!

WE AS A NATION MUST FOCUS MORE ENERGY AND ATTENTION ON INVADING AND PLUNDERING OTHER NATIONS! WE SHOULD NOT SPEND OUR NATION'S TREASURE ON THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN.

BOMBS!

BULLETS!

DRONES!

WAR!

WAR!

WAR!

Fund the wars! Praise be to DHS, NSA, FBI, CIA, NRO, DARPA etc....

Would not surprise me at all to find that a large portion of the vote no crowd also supports the above mentioned sarcasm.

God forbid we get re-aligned as a nation of citizens to look locally and do what is needed to do the best possible job to educate our youth, give them opportunities to shine with athletics, art, music, math and sciences.

So, for all you who screamed all summer for the citizens to vote no I have a question.

Who voted YES for you when you were in school? Who voted yes for your children when they were in school? Who will vote yes for your grandchildren when they are in school?

Lil DAB

Economics were much different in the era our parents were working and paying for our school. No one is living "without paying taxes." Have you checked how much of your property taxes are going to what entity? 65% is already going to the schools. So to allude that voting NO is not supporting schools, kids, teachers & the community is just an escape from your reality of losing. Sorry. But people are more informed at the POLLS now and are educating themselves before voting regarding where the money comes from and where it's going!
