Norwalk woman critically injured

Thrown from vehicle in rollover.
May 14, 2013

Theresa Franz, 49, Norwalk, was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand AM that drove off the roadway at about 9:40 p.m. Monday.

Franz was eastbound on Washington Road west of Halfway Road in Ridgefield Township, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Alcohol is being investigated as a contributing factor in the one-vehicle accident, the Patrol said.

The car overturned several times and came to a rest on its roof in a field. Franz, who was thrown from the vehicle and sustained critical injuries, was transported from the scene to Cleveland Metro Hospital.
No charges have been filed and alcohol is considered a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.

Will people ever learn not to drink and drive?

Not as long as they have the "it can't happen to me" attitude. Hopefully this woman will be ok.

Rollover accidents can be very ugly. Please wear your seat belt. Here are two examples of people getting ejected in rollover accidents. One appears to be lucky and the other not.
A man thrown out in a rollover and almost run over.
This man was ejected also in a rollover. I am not sure if the rollover killed him or if the vehicle in the opposite lane did when the victim was run over. Graphic.

some will. some won't.
