Bellevue police chief back on the job after passing shooting test on third try

If at first you don’t succeed, try again. And then, keep trying. 

On the third attempt, Dennis Brandal passed his shooting qualification test. With success under his belt this week, he reclaimed his rank as police chief, a title that had been abruptly stripped away earlier this month after he failed the shooting test on the first two tries.

Bellevue safety-service director Jeff Crosby said that if Brandal had failed on the third try, it could’ve cost him his job.
