Coming soon: New sign for Sandusky's Lions Park

The familar entryway along Monroe Street is getting an update.
Mar 28, 2013

Mike Zieber, left, and Chris Hanover prep the foundation for a new sign being installed at Lions Park.

"Concrete's on it's way ... it will probably need three or four days to cure ... The sign's done, it's in our shop," Hanover said.

The new sign should be completed by next week, Zieber said.

Hanover and Zieber work for Brady Sign Co., in Sandusky.

Now if they would just move out those run down trailers sitting in front of the park at least it would look presentable.

Been gone for years.

What trailers? They're gone!

There's money for a sign, but no money to fix streets?? Sumthin's wrong here.

Typical Sanduskian. Gripe, gripe, gripe, never do anything positive.

The Lions Club donated the sign.

I for one would be happy to see that park get cleaned up. I lived in the neighborhood when i was growing up and played there as a kid. i now have watched the place go down hill for a long time.... just hope its not a waste of time.

Needs to be a warning sign advising people not to swim in the dirty water.
