Church looks at questions for God

If you could ask God any question, what would you ask?
Matt Westerhold

Will I be saved? Does everything really happen for a reason? Are my deceased loved ones doing OK?

Click here for the e*Paper or get a copy of Sunday's Register to find out what questions people are asking God, and, maybe even what the answers might be.

*

Send these queries, and more, to a local church's leaders, and they'll try to provide the answers.

Grace Community Church in Fremont begins its third "#GodQuestions" series today, kicking off a month-long program dedicated to tackling tough issues surrounding religion and faith.

shucks

So there are as many Biblical interpretations and opinions as there are people about the question of gun rights, right?

I'm waiting to hear just one.

Google: Gun rights and the Bible.

Enjoy!

John Harville

You just made me think about David cutting off the foreskins of Saul's enemy.

shucks

Enjoy what?

shucks

I messed up.
I know nobody cares, but for the record, I meant to say this:

So there are as many Biblical interpretations and opinions about the question of gun rights,as there are people...right?

John Harville

Multipliled algebraically if you count the number of people in this church who claim to know God's will.

Concerning the end of the world:

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (MT 24:36)

God is omniscient (all knowing).
Jesus says that he doesn't know.
Jesus cannot be God.

shucks

Here, you enjoy.

Try to stick to the topic the next time would ya?

So this is God's PERSONAL website? Enjoy away. :)

Enjoy your short life !

lol

So that website doesn't contain the FINAL authoritative answer?

shucks

You don't want to understand, you just want to play.

Actually, you can't understand.

Contango

Understand what? What you "think" you know?

shucks

Jesus is my rescuer from hell, and He will rescue me.

Contango

No "rescue" needed; according to Jesus, you already have it.

“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21)

shucks

...and you must have His spirit to understand more.

shucks

No, you don't automatically get it.

shucks

If you really want answers, I suggest that you go and wander around on that website.
It will explain most your questions better than I can.

It's good that you can demonstrate humility in FINALLY admitting that you have no idea what you are writing about.

As is said: Those who know do not say, those who say do not know.

shucks

I know the answers to what I need to know.

shucks

I gave you a real good website that would probably answer all of your questions then you turn and attack me.

A website has the "answer(s)"?

Are you substituting a website for God? How is that not blasphemous?

Aw, don't be upset lil' buckaroo. Doesn't Jesus still love you?

Don't the gods hate hubris?

Better study that Bible a wee bit more:

shucks

Back at ya!

But what do you care? You can't understand it anyway.

Contango

@ 4shizzle:

You read like a cafeteria Christian, you pick and choose what to follow and believe. Good luck with that salvation thingy.

shucks

Enjoy your short life !
Maybe your gods will cut you a break.
LOL!!!
