I guess with summer coming the establishment has once again decided to try to fill city and state coffers by infringing on our individual freedoms by trying to force us by threats and intimidation to fasten our seat belts, or be ticketed and fined!

I appreciate all the statistics that the Register has provided, but the statistic I am most interested in wasn't there, which is how many drivers were killed on the city streets of Sandusky? Here we are reading about how our magnificent police department is understaffed, so now instead of freeing up all available officers to re-act to our notorious gang problems, they are going to be forced to write tickets for all the 70-year-old senior citizens like myself, instead of taking care of important police business!

I personally think this is just another ploy to raise funds for local government, kind of like a fund raiser or an unofficial way to tax our local citizens!

Please don't call or write me about rights or privileges, or "it's the law!" That is just something that the establishment uses to further erode our personal freedoms.
