Boil alert for Chaska Beach neighborhood in Huron

The city of Huron has issued the following statement on a boil alert affecting the Chaska Beach neighborhood. (The Boil Alert is lifted as of 1 p.m. Wednesday.)

"The Huron Water Dept. has depressurized the waterline in CHASKA BEACH  to make an emergency repair to the watermain. Now that water pressure has been restored, the following residences are advised to boil the water for one full minute prior to consumption. All residences in the CHASKA BEACH neighborhood are affected.

The boil alert will remain in effect for a minimum of 24 hours or until further notice. Announcement will be made to the media when boil alert is lifted. If you have any questions please contact the Water Department 433-9502."
