According to troopers investigating the crash, Daniel J. Magers Jr., 30, of Fremont, was driving a 1999 Dodge Ram pick-up truck south on County Road 128 approaching the intersection with U.S. 20.
Magers ran the stop sign posted at the intersection and struck a 2012 Freightliner commercial semi truck driven west on U.S. 20 by Russell E. Lucas, 53, of Monroe, Mich.
Magers and his passenger, Shannon M. McGrew, 29, of Rocky Ridge, were thrown from Dodge upon impact. Magers was pronounced dead at the scene and McGrew was flown by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
Lucas was uninjured in the wreck.
The crash remains under investigation.

Shame, What are the odds of that happening at that time of the morning? Pretty foggy out lastnight, might have gotten turned around.
THe news stated that weather was not believed to be a factor, but alcohol was being investigated. Who knows, we werent there. But horrible none the less.
