Hats off to the city of Sandusky and those responsible for the recent additions to the Sandusky Bay Pathway.
On a cold morning after Christmas I set out on bike to explore the shoreline of the Sandusky Bay. The ride included the Sandusky Bay Pathway from behind the Sandusky Municipal building and west all the way to and beyond the Shelby Street boat ramp. This was a most pleasant experience as riding the pathway revealed dog walkers smiling from ear to ear after the festivities of Christmas, a beautiful sun rise lurking above the bay, views of our local adventure association Cedar Point, local industry and small businesses both long gone and still thriving, maritime articles old and new, Christmas decorations on all the new condos with million-dollar views, mysterious houses, forests and beaches of Ottawa County, etc.
The list goes on. To those mentioned above, please keep your sleeves rolled up as the ride from the re-vamped Lions Park to the parks on U.S. 6 is a worthy cause and well within reach.
