PERKINS TWP.

One can't help but wonder: Did the pair of eagles who nested near Gerold's Old Dutch Tavern siphon off some of the Jagermeister before they left?

That dynamic duo was either three sheets to the wind or optimistic to a fault when they set up some new digs on Walnut Creek Lane in Perkins Township this month.

"I was pretty taken aback by their choice of tree there," wildlife specialist Mona Rutger said. "It stands alone without much protection from the elements."
