The Register seeks nominations for its annual Register Awards, which recognize area residents who have made selfless, voluntary contributions to their communities.
Since 1962, the newspaper has presented 145 awards to a variety of people.
The winners receive a plaque and will have $200 donated in their names to the charity of their choice.
Last year’s winners were Thomas Kazmierczak III, executive director of the Sandusky State Theatre; Earl and Bea Rosen, who direct the Helping Hearts Ministry at Zion Lutheran Church; and Ed and Linda Noftz, who are foster parents from Clyde.
To nominate someone, send a letter or e-mail explaining what the person or persons have done to make a difference.
You may also submit a photo if one is available. Include your name and contact information and a self-addressed, stamped envelope if sending photos.
