SANDUSKY

The city's lawyers made three arguments for why Erie County Common Pleas Judge Tygh Tone should overturn the commission's decision to reinstate Kim Nuesse as Sandusky police chief.

They allege Janice Warner was biased, that Warner and fellow Sandusky Civil Service commissioner Vincent Rhodes didn't "meaningfully review" all 3,647 pages of transcripts and evidence, and that the civil service commission didn't change anything in Judge Joseph Cirigliano's recommendation that Nuesse remain terminated.

K. Ronald Bailey, Nuesse's lawyer, now has until Nov. 16 to respond to the city's arguments.
