SANDUSKY

The largest question for the new city commission appears to be the fate of city manager Matt Kline.

In Tuesday's election, Kim Nuesse, whom Kline fired as Sandusky police chief in June 2008, claimed a landslide victory with 25 percent of the votes. Meanwhile, two of Kline's biggest supporters -- appointed commissioner Bob Warner and ex officio mayor Craig Stahl -- finished last and second to last of the seven candidates.

On Wednesday, Kline seemed resigned to not being in Sandusky much longer.

"Come January, you'll probably be talking to someone else," Kline told the Regional Water Advisory Board, in response to a question by Erie County commissioner Pat Shenigo.
