SANDUSKY

Carrie Handy, the city's chief planner, told the Sandusky Planning Commission she receives "a lot of complaints" about short-term renters causing problems with excessive noise, trespassing and other shenanigans.

The planning commission also briefly discussed regulating dogs, which officials said is also a cause of many resident complaints. City ordinances say residents can only have four dogs at one time, but some residents have complained four is too many, and causes excessive noise in neighborhoods.
