Edison students and their families are making new arrangements for transportation this year after the school board eliminated high-school busing in June as part of a package of budget cuts.

Students and parents said it's working so far, but not without inconvenience. Some were unsure how they'd be able to sustain their arrangements through the school year. They also said safety is an issue in the school parking lot, in the cars of teenage drivers with more passengers and for students walking home.
