The Erie County Dog Pound features the following dogs available for adoption:

Bow is a two-year-old male labrador mix who is good with cats and loves to run and play. A fenceed yard is recommended. He is available now.

Emma is a one-year-old pug/beagle. She is a high-energy dog who loves everyone. She is available now.

Gizmo is a five-month-old male chihuahua mix who is good with kids, cats and other dogs. He is housebroke and available now.

Sassy is a small six-year-old labrador mix. She is housebroken, shy and needs a quiet household. She is available now.

Zack is a three-month-old daschund/beagle. He is full of mischief and will be available at 1 p.m. Friday.

Tinker is a small mixed dog. She is friendly and good with other dogs. She is available now.

Female labrador mixed pups are eight weeks old. They are easy to train and easier to love. They are available now.

Lady is a nine-month-old labrador mix who is a sweet, playful pup who is housebroken. She is available at 10:20 a.m. Friday.

Jolee is a two-year-old labrador/shepherd mix. She greets everyone with a wagging tail. She is available now.

Jack is a chocolate lab mix who is housebroken, and is good with cats, dogs and kids. He is available now.

The Erie County Dog Pound, 2900 Columbus Ave., Perkins Township, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Call 419-627-7607. Adopting a dog costs $30.

The Erie County Humane Society features these cats and kittens available for adoption:

Pucker is a cute 4-month-old black and white kitten.

Pansy is a 3-year-old girl who has lived in the shelter since February. She really wants a home of her own.

Naomi is an 8-month-old sweetie who was found as a stray.

Missy is a 4-year-old gray gal. She likes other cats and kids.

The Humane Society is at 1911 Superior St., Sandusky. Adoption hours are 1-6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday. Normal adoption fees are: Cats/kittens $60, but fees are waived for cats 3 years old or older. Dogs/puppies adoption fees vary. The fees include spaying/neutering and first shots if the kitten is at least 3 months old. The phone number is 419-626-6220.
