PERKINS TWP.

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash this afternoon on U.S. 250, just north of Ohio 2.

Euclid resident Marlin West, 27, was attempting to exit a parking lot off the west side of U.S. 250, turning to the north, in his 1999 Ford Taurus.

Ronald Faller, 65, Huron, was driving a 2002 Lincoln LS southbound on U.S. 250 in the left of the two southbound lanes.

West pulled out in front of Faller and was struck.

Faller and his wife, Kathy Faller, were treated and released from Firelands Regional Medical Center. West declined treatment at the scene.

He was cited for failure to yield from a private drive.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene.

The Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.

The State Highway Patrol was assisted by Perkins Township Police Department and Perkins Township Fire and EMS.
