A telephone line cut near the County Services Center on Columbus Avenue that temporarily cut off all 911 emergency calls and all phone calls to the Erie County Sheriff's office is now working, Erie County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Sigsworth said.
For most of the day, landline 911 calls from Sandusky were being diverted to Sandusky police dispatchers. Cell phone 911 calls were being answered through the Perkins Police Department and all other communities were being directed to their local police departments.
