Reaction from high school coaches continues to filter in about the case of a former Louisville, Ky., high school football coach scheduled for trial this month in the death of a 15-year old player who collapsed at practice in 2008.
“I think every coach sees it,” Edison coach Jim Hall said. “It’s a reminder of your responsibilities and that it’s still just a game. There’s lessons to be learned and there’s more to it than the football aspect.
“As tragic as it is, it serves a reminder to the rest of us to keep everything in focus and to keep in front of you what’s best for the players, not just winning.”
