PUT-IN-BAY

High art and lawn furniture will combine on Friday at the Crescent Tavern Pavilion in Put-in-Bay.

The Put-in-Bay Arts Council will host an Adirondack chair auction with proceeds going to Put-in-Bay fire and emergency medical services, the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation and the arts council.

The one-of-the-kind, handmade chairs were sponsored by businesses in the village and decorated by local artists.

A preview of the 23 chairs in the auction will begin at 7 p.m. at the pavilion. The auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. A cash bar and hors d’oeuvres will be available, and people interested in bidding on a chair do not need to be present. Posters featuring the chairs will also be on sale for $20.

For information or to set up a bid by proxy, call Novak at the Blue Cottage Gallery, 419-285-2128.
