PERKINS TOWNSHIP

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Perkins fire and police were called to the scene of a crash into the Bay Electric building on Columbus Avenue in Perkins Township. The historic part of the building that was struck used to be the streetcar office and depot.

Gary Westfall, owner of Bay Electric, was in the office when he saw the truck coming toward his window and he ran to safety. The status of the driver, who apparently had a medical problem causing the crash, is unknown.
