Three people were taken to the hospital this evening when an SUV collided with a motorcycle in the eastbound lanes of the Ohio Turnpike, three miles west of the U.S. 250 exit.

The motorcycle's driver and passenger, Franklin Stumhofer Jr, and Christine J. Stauffer of Orwigsburg, Pa., were flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. Both were wearing helmets and had non life-threatening injuries, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol's turnpike post. The driver of the SUV, Brooke S. Gasser of Sterling, Ohio, was taken to Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. No further information was available.
