It's not clear what time the crash happened, but law enforcement personnel were called to the scene after it was discovered at about 7:30 a.m. at Old Railroad Road near Miller Road.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers investigating the wreck said Timothy W. Wright Jr., 34, was driving a 2004 Infinity I35 south on Old Railroad Road approaching the T-intersection with Miller Road when he failed to stop at the posted stop sign.

Wright crossed Miller Road, then went airborne for about 100 feet, striking an overhead branch on a small tree and landing in the yard of a private residence. The car continued south through the yard and through a creek before striking a tree.
Wright was not wearing a seat belt. The driver's side air bag deployed in the crash but the front air bag did not, troopers said.
Wright's body was taken to Ransom Funeral Home in Castalia. His vehicle was towing to Moore's Body Shop in Castalia.
The crash remains under investigation.

What poisons these minds?
Too much lead in the water?
Five pages of trash!
So sorry to hear this. Can't quite figure out how the car can be airborne, land in a private yard and no one hear it. However, may all involved find peace.

I am not sure that it would be common place for an officer to do a 1/4 mile radius search when a $40 mailbox is ran over.
i see your point, and absolutely not arguing, just frustrating is all... but didnt have to look but 10 feet to see the tire tracks on the embankment... and his liscense plate laying there... along with other debris from the vehicle.
Why would the officer walk that far over a destroyed mailbox?
Didn't know 10 feet was THAT far to look... which was where the license plate and other debris was laying. And to say an ATV destroyed that mailbox and drove off is absurd. IF an ATV had done such damage, that person would be in the hospital and the ATV still there. This mans mailbox was literally destroyed, not just knocked over or dented. I support law enforcement, not bashing them, just wish they'd opened there eyes a little more is all. Simple as that...
Not true. Our drunken neighbor destroyed our mailbox twice with his ATV & he was fine and his quad had a tiny dent.
Do quads have license plates?
Yes why would we expect an officer called to a "accident" not walk 10 feet and investigate? It must be a common thing on that road for tire marks embedded 5 feet up an embankment, with small tree bent and broken over. If it were to be an atv that creamed his mailbox wouldn't you think that would have caused some serious harm to the rider or atv? I picked up the mailbox what was left of it and also the licence plate NEXT to it. Now in saying all of this it dont change the outcome nor it could have saved him but it could have helped them to find him a lot sooner. The poor couple that let their dog out in the am had to discover Timmy in their backyard has my sympathy. Some things in life happen that will scar you and you can not just forget. The image of a man's tattooed arm hanging out of a wreckage will never go away. RIP Timmy.
Again, someone has NO idea what they are talking about. Things are not always as they appear.
Anybody know if this is the same guy that hit a car head on last year on Old Railroad?
Yes, I believe it was. Condolences to the family.

You have NO idea what you are talking about. Wasn't drunk the first time. How about you have some respect until you do?
