The community has been divided in half. Each side has legitimate concerns. I'm a Margaretta band student parent. I also own a house in Castalia. The levy will affect me either way it goes.

Recently we had a band function in which a board member was helping out. At the end he asked the parents to support he levy. It got quite heated. The band is on the top of the list to be cut. People were upset football wasn't going to be cut also.

Football brings in revenue. With no football who would the band play for?

Another suggestion was to open the Blue Hole for tourists. Are you kidding, tourists can't even feed the ducks at the pond. It's prohibited. How much is this levy going to cost? Seventy cents a day for a $100,000 house. That's $4.90 a week. If we packed our lunch one day a week and skipped the fast food combo, we can fix this school system. I've always been a proud Margaretta polar bear. I've always wore my green and white. I will always hang my banner outside my house. I will always support my school and my community. I believe we should be role models for our students.

Teach them when times are tough we will be there for them.

My vote will count for the levy on Tuesday.
