A family of five perished earlier in the day in a house fire in Reed Township.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said a 2001 Lincoln LS driven by Terry Bryant Jr., 27, of Fostoria, ran a stop sign on Township Road 112 at County Road 7 in Hopewell Township.

The Lincoln was then struck on the passenger side by a 1998 Dodge Durango driven south on County Road 7 by Kristopher Stafford, 28, of Fostoria. Both vehicles traveled off the south side of the roadway and overturned several times.

Bryant was not wearing a seat belt and suffered non-life threatening injuries. An ambulance took him to Fostoria Hospital.

Three passengers in Bryant's vehicle — Bethany Garner, 25, Skyler Bryant, 7, and Angel Bryant, 4, all of Fostoria — were all pronounced dead at the scene.

A fourth passenger, Arianna Bryant, 5, of Fostoria, suffered critical injuries and was taken by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.

Garner wasn't wearing a seat belt. It's unclear if the children were buckled in.

Stafford, the driver of the Dodge, was wearing a seat belt and suffered serious injuries. He was taken by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.

The crash remains under investigation. There are no charges at this time.
