Fresh from his appearance on NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” former NFL All-Pro running back Herschel Walker is coming to Cedar Point.
Walker will meet guests and sign autographs from noon to 2 p.m. Monday near the Raptor roller coaster on the main midway.
While on the NBC television show, Walker, along with 15 other celebrity contestants, rubbed elbows with businessman Donald Trump as they played to win money for the charitable organization of their choice.
Football fans, however, will remember the 1982 Heisman Trophy winner who was a three-time All-American running back for the University of Georgia. His career as a Bulldog included an undefeated season and national championship in 1980.
Walker didn’t do too badly as a pro, either. He played for the NFL and USFL, and was selected for the Pro Bowl two times. In his first season for the Dallas Cowboys, he led the NFL in rushing. He also played for the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants during his NFL career, which lasted from 1986 to 1997.
