PERKINS TWP.

Dozens of decades-old trees at Ohio Veterans Home have been chopped down and chipped up because they're just too cantankerous when storms come rolling through.

Roughly 40 trees of varying species -- maple, oak, ash and others -- have been removed from the 94-acre property because they're either aging or because some are diseased.
