In regards to the June 28 congratuatory article of St. Mary's Pastor Father Philip Feltman's retirement, I think it was blatantly discourteous and disrespectful to insert his photo in such a promiscuous spot in your paper.

Whether it was unintentional or just plain ignorance on your part, I feel that after 18 years of pastoral service to St. Mary's -- and to the community as well -- Father deserved a much more respectable place of honor in your paper.

Editor's note: The item about the Rev. Feltman was a paid advertisement, which appeared under a news story and photo about a local woman who competed in a beauty pageant sponsored by the Hooters restaurant chain.
